onsemi Product Engineer (1-year contract) in Vietnam
Job Purpose
To be the BU Product Engineer for assigned device(s). The successful candidate will have strong technical ability and preferably experience in power products, good communication skills, and a team player who is able to work with global team in a matrix-organization structure of a multinational semiconductor company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Product owner of assigned devices. Primary point of contact for all operational aspects related to assigned portfolio, including supply chain management, customer service, sales and marketing, technical publications, document control, etc.
PE is generally responsible for all aspects of engineering activities associated with the assigned product portfolio.
PE will establish relationships with key contacts in wafer fabrication and assembly/test to ensure strong communication and effective problem solving.
PE will facilitate cross functional teams for problem solving, including coordination activities with Product Engineers in other regions to achieve common goals.
PE will support Customer Return (EFAR) resolution and quality improvements to ensure customer satisfaction. Liaise with related manufacturing operations (test, assembly, probe and Fab) as needed to drive root cause investigations and resolution.
PE will work on yield improvements with support from related operations counterparts to reach the set targets.
PE will work on cost reduction projects to improve product gross margin and collaborate with related operations and other functional teams to achieve savings.
Responsible to provide onsite PE support for Manufacturing operations to enable smooth running of owned products to meet delivery expectations.
