ON Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the device characterization team, located in Sunnyvale California. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to characterize semiconductor devices using fully automated and semi-automated test equipment to support next generation technology and product development. Also you will be responsible for developing test programs to automate or add new capabilities for the existing test system.
This position offers unique opportunity to work with both hardware and software of the semiconductor test system.
The intern project will focus on device characterization (SOA, ESD & TLP), test system improvement and test automation to support the BCDe and HV/UHV technology development and qualification. The test and characterization work has been considered as a very critical step for the development of new technologies and products.
Candidate needs to have the basic knowledge about lab equipments and computer programming.
The TLP acronym stands for Transmission Line Pulse testing.
In order to be considered for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing an accredited degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Graduate students preferred
Understand the basic semiconductor device and basic circuit operation.
Experience with basic lab equipments like IV meter, CV meter, Oscilloscope.
Programming of hardware and test applications. Experience with LabView, C or VB.
The ability to solve problems individually or as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A student in their second year of study or above.
