Cross functional leader of the product development process for approximately 2-3 programs at any given time. While there are many globally dispersed functional groups that own and deliver significant portions towards the development of our products, the PM is the central contact for a given product that the organization looks to for driving accountability and results. Leading throughout the product development process: feasibility, planning, design, product validation, qualification, sampling, and ramp.
Developing and maintaining detailed program schedules, identifying and addressing gaps, and proactively assessing and mitigating risk throughout the execution. Driving regular and special cross-functional team meetings as needed. Working with suppliers to understand lead times and ensure timely delivery Tracking project expenditure and budget planning Periodically and upon request, present product plans and status to executive management, appropriately framing status, issues, and options. Contributing to continuous improvement of the product development process. Travel is required, when needed according to project and business activities.
Qualifications
BS EE/ME/Physics/Optics (or equivalent) with 10 years of experience
Engineering experience in product development in the semiconductor industry, with supply chain familiarity.
First-hand knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (design, fab, assembly, test, reliability)
Technical skills within one’s own area of expertise, and comfortable conversing and operating outside of one’s own technical discipline
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and systems.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills (at all levels of the organization)
Curiosity, persistence, and assertiveness
Clarity and independence of thought – ability to close on decisions (and builds organization support)
Works well under pressure
Proficient with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; and other such productivity tools (issue trackers, collaboration tools, etc.)
Ability and flexibility to regularly communicate with team members in various time zones around the world
