Senior Device Engineer

onsemi has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated goal-oriented individual to join it’s CMOS Image Sensor team

Job Summary:

As a device engineer, you will be working on defining process conditions for state-of-the-art image sensors with emphasis on pixels. You will also be driving new process integration schemes to support ON Semiconductor’s product line of leading-edge CMOS Image Sensors. The position requires interfacing with a wide variety of individuals and groups across the company.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Experience in semiconductor microelectronic/optoelectronic CMOS process development, process integration, and manufacturing.

  • Excellent knowledge of semiconductor device physics.

  • Experience with Design of Experiments (D.O.E.) and associated analysis.

  • knowledge of CMOS pixel designs (Rolling Shutter/Global Shutter), process flows, design rules, and layout.

  • Ability to aggressively execute complex process experiments and focus on solving problems individually or as part of a team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

  • Experience in pixel characterization and simulation is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields

  • Knowledge in optoelectronic device design, simulation, and process integration

  • Knowledge in statistics, circuit design and device characterization

  • Knowledge of TCAD simulation tools and methods
