ON Semiconductor Process Specialist in South Portland, Maine

To support and work a 12-hour night shift schedule (C or D flight). Candidates should be self-motivated team players that are eager to assist and learn from the Engineering team as needed. Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, Photo, Etch, Thin Films, Diffusion, Implant and Wet Processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfullydispositioning lots, or wafers, after non-standard processing.

  • Successfullycompleting OCAP's.

  • Successfullycompleting non-standard processing instructions to support Engineering

  • AssistingOperators with events requiring escalation.

  • AssistingMaintenance, Equipment and Process Engineering in trouble-shooting tool andprocess issues

  • Assist increating new procedures, and refining previously existing ones.

  • Assist intraining operators on both existing and new tool sets and processes.

  • Supportmanufacturing activities as defined by the shift Supervisor.


  • Minimum of 2years of operator experience with demonstrated tool/process knowledgeable towork in clean room for extended period of time.

  • Proficient in theuse of Metrology equipment (Microscopes, Reflectomery, Elipsometry, IR, SEM,etc).

  • Strong AnalyticalReasoning and Communications Skills.

  • DemonstratedAdherence to Specified Procedures.

  • Must have apositive, professional, energetic, can-do attitude. "Do whatever ittakes" work ethic.

  • Must have abilityto work effectively and take initiative with little continuous directsupervision as well as handle sudden changes in daily priorities.


  • Associates or 2 years of college-levelcoursework
