Job Summary

ON Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) team, located in South Portland, Maine. This important role is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, testing, debugging, and documenting computer applications based on technical configurations and specifications. The successful candidate must have advanced proficiency and skill in full stack development.

Performance Objectives

  • Worksindependently and collaboratively with a team.

  • Implementstechnical solutions by either configuring software packages or codedevelopment.

  • Designs andcreates solutions taking performance into consideration.

  • Identify andassist with implementing application improvements that will lessendevelopment timelines and/or reduce production support issues.

  • Conducts walk-throughsand reviews of solutions. Provides options and estimates for solutions.

  • Helps to set andpromote coding and web standards across the web developer team and ISorganization.

  • Provide web baseddesign and development subject matter expertise to business partners andIS peers.

  • Identify andassist with implementing application improvements that will lessendevelopment timelines and/or reduce production support issues.

  • Work with businessarea customers and vendors to identify business requirements, teststrategies, and test execution.

  • Developsintegration requirements and partners with the integration developer toimplement.

  • Responsible forthe development and execution of testing and implementation plans.

  • Applies formalmethodologies when designing and developing / configuring solutions.

  • Participates inproject planning and development or assumes responsibility for a projectof limited scope including guidance of others.

  • Provides optionsfor and estimates of possible solutions.

  • May be responsiblefor the completion of a phase of a project or small projects depending oncomplexity.

  • Stays current onIndustry trends and Software roadmaps.

  • Regularly providesguidance and training to less experienced team members.

  • Conducts andparticipates in reviews of solution designs, configurations and code.

  • Partners withtechnical and business team members to maintain system documentation,knowledge base and frequently asked questions.

  • May act as primaryliaison to software vendors for managing vendor problem tickets.

  • Partners with thebusiness on effective end user adoption and use of system / function.

  • May reviewtraining strategy, materials and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Continually lookswithin and beyond their job, anticipating business needs and opportunities.

  • Responsible for24x7 research and resolution of production system problems.

  • Provides technicalexpertise for project and baseline support teams

  • On call – providesday time and after hours on call support.

  • Adheres todevelopment standards and provides development standards recommendations.

Years of Experience:

  • 5Years

Education:

  • B.S.or equivalent degree in any of Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Mustwork well in a team environment and have strong time management skills.

  • Strong written andoral communication skills.

  • Strong businessand analytical skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge of any of C/C , Java orPython.

  • Strong experience of programming in Unix/Linuxplatforms.

  • Understanding of Agile/SCRUM techniques.

  • Good understanding of RDBMS, such as mySQL or Oracle.

  • Working knowledge with Software version control systemssuch as Git or Mercurial.

  • Should have clear understanding of UML diagrams,architecture designs and design patterns.

  • Should have knowledge of web technologies includingtcp/ip, udp, multicast and REST, SOAP web services.

  • Project management, organizational and planning skillsare a must.

  • Knowledge of C# and the Microsofttechnology stack are a plus.
