onsemi Senior Director, Cyber Security Operations and Design in Scottsdale, Arizona

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our onsemi IT team leading our industrial security program globally. As the Senior Director Cyber Security Operations and Design, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and increasingly successful global semiconductor company with a vision to drive technology breakthroughs that deliver on the promise of a sustainable future.

In this role, you will be a senior member of the Information Security team in a fast-paced environment that provides exciting challenges and development opportunities. Responsibilities include developing a global security operations team and function. This includes a global SOC, Incident Response, Security Technology management, identity operations, cloud security operations, threat hunting, end point management and overall administration. Additionally, this position is responsible for Security Architecture and Design for IT and business products with a team of dedicated security architects. You will be a strong and visible collaborator with our IT Leaders and senior business leaders across the globe to deliver initiatives. This role reports to the Vice President Global CISO, the role leads a team size of approximately 50 people and can be part time remote, must be located within a reasonable distance to an onsemi global location.

Your responsibilities in this role will include (but are not limited to):

Key Objectives

  • Build, coach and operate a direct and cross matrixed team to deliver the global security solutions and protections

  • Creation and execution of security strategies that will increase the efficiency of IT systems and projects.

  • Directing crisis management by investigating the cause of a breach and implementing the right solutions.

  • Allocating the correct resources to ensure that staff are delivering secure solutions.

  • Overseeing vulnerability audits, penetration tests and forensic IT investigations, ensuring that any outcomes are understood and applied.

  • Liaising with other senior level directors and the board to ensure that new systems align with the organization’s overall security policies and data protection strategies.

  • Ensuring that staff security training and compliance efforts are up to date.

  • Preparing budgetary allocations and financial forecasts relating to cyber security.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Threat Intelligence program to proactively identify and mitigate potential cyber threats.

  • Monitor threat actors, analyze threat indicators, and provide actionable intelligence to enhance proactive defense and incident response capabilities.

  • Oversee the vulnerability management program, including vulnerability assessments, scanning, and remediation strategies.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely identification and mitigation of vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.

  • Define and implement network security strategies and controls to protect the organization's network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and network-based attacks.

  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure secure network design and configuration.

  • Develop and implement data protection and privacy strategies, including encryption, data loss prevention (DLP) mechanisms, identity and privacy controls.

  • Provide technical and program subject matter expertise to support executing manufacturing operations

  • Govern and verify supply chain manufactures in the industrial security domains

  • Plan and manage a budget including AOP planning

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the IT, Manufacturing and Business groups

  • Influence the cyber security strategy for onsemi

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive experience in cyber defense & engineering as well as product security, with a focus on managing security programs in a leadership role in an international environment.

  • 10 years+ related Cyber Security and/or Infrastructure experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Cyber Security principles, frameworks, and best practices.

  • In-depth understanding of cyber operations, incident response, forensics, and investigations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience working and partnering with senior executive leadership team.

  • Working knowledge in various compliance and security frameworks including ISO27001, NIST and relative security frameworks

  • Strong project management, people management and team building / collaboration skills

  • Resilient with a high level of personal integrity and energy

  • Strong business acumen, capable of connecting manufacturing goals to a security strategy in order to drive the most impactful investments

  • Ability to influence at all levels through clear, informed, and logical business justification and discussion

  • Proven experience in successfully managing through change and achieving deliverables against aggressive deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
