onsemi Staff Analog Layout Engineer in Richardson, Texas

Job Summary:

onsemi is seeking an energetic, motivated professional to join their product development team located in Richardson, Texas. You will join a cohesive group of experienced designers with a wide range of industry experience who cultivate a “customer first” culture and friendly working environment. Projects will require you to work with cross-functional teams comprised of logic and IP design, physical implementation, packaging, test, and product engineering.

Responsibilities:

Staff Analog Layout Engineers/Leads are pivotal in delivering Analog Mixed-Signal IP in a SOC flow. You will collaborate with teams of highly skilled individuals to develop the next generation of world class ASSPs and ASICs. Responsibilities include:

  • Crafting sophisticated layouts for mixed-signal and analog circuits, reviewing floorplans, and analyzing intricate circuits with circuit designers.

  • Running complete sets of design verification tools, planning/scheduling work, and coordinating vital layout tradeoffs with designers over multiple process nodes.

  • Creating bottom-up designs that meet or exceed performance, power, and area specifications

  • Generating and interpreting verification reports for LVS, DRC, ESD, DFM, and other relevant checks; and applying appropriate changes.

  • Finding the most efficient way to modify existing designs (ECOs/LCOs) to improve product quality

  • Proactively troubleshooting and debugging issues related to design and tools.

  • Meeting committed schedules without compromising design quality.

As a Staff Analog Layout Lead, you'll play a crucial role in translating design concepts into silicon, collaborating closely with circuit designers, and leveraging sophisticated tools. Your work will involve crafting custom analog designs to optimize the performance of onsemi’s extraordinary products.
