Job Description Summary:

The position involves collaborating with engineering teams across all phases of the Development Cycle (Definition, Design and Verification) to create ISO 26262 compliant designs. As a lead, you will participate from the Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept of IP / SOC / System through design and verification for next-gen products. As part of your role, you're responsible for the definition, planning and review of verification activities related to safety metrics including safety verification plan of SoCs and components used in automotive safety critical applications.

you will work closely with the Chip architect and silicon design team, You’ll own and develop the SOC/CHIP level verification strategy and oversee it’s implementation. For the and procedure in form of a “During this Safety Verification phase you will collaborate with customer teams to infuse technical leadership during the execution of safety requirement validation with respect to HW random failures, implement processes/procedures and document fault simulation results required for Safety certifications.

Responsibilities mayinclude, but are not limited to:

  • Contributeto new product definition from concept through specification, with fullownership on the functional safety aspects.

  • Working closely with theChip architect and silicon design team, You’ll own and develop the SOC/CHIPlevel verification strategy and procedure in the form of verification documentand oversee it’s implementation pre (verification) and post (validation)silicon

  • Drive and support engineeringactivities according to ISO 26262 standards during all project phases(concept, design, development, validation).

  • Work withthe engineering team to establish the correct functional safety features in thesub-systems.

  • Supporting engineeringteams during implementation of architecture requirements and resolvingarchitecture issues found in design and verification.

  • Providesustainable safety engineering support by performing safety analyses andreports.

  • Conducting in-depthanalysis of failure modes, error detection and error reporting functionality.

  • Working directly withautomotive customers to understand their requirements and design constraints inorder to enable the specification of optimal solution. Working with those samecustomers to design credible workaround when required.

  • Support internal/external ISO26262 process/product audits.

  • Conductreviews communicating status and risks to management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSEE/MSEE with 8 yearsof relevant working experience in functional safety validation.

  • An experienced lead withstrong technical leadership skills; with strong experience in SoC / IC verification,validation planning and execution.

  • Experience in conductingin-depth Fault Propagation Analysis, Simulation and Formal Random FaultVerification, and Formal/Dynamic coverage metrics.

  • Knowledge of FunctionalSafety and related standards -- ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508.

  • In-depth knowledge of SoCarchitectures, related SW and FW; also, basic knowledge on reliability asapplied to ICs.

  • Proven experience increating safety concepts ad analysis ( FMEA, FTA, FMEDA).

  • Knowledge ofanalog/mixed-signal design of integrated circuits and DfT for integratedcircuits.

  • Knowledge of SPICE/CMMIand embedded architectures as well as tools such as DOORS, MKS/PTC, Rhapsody,Matlab Simulink is desirable.

  • Excellent technicalcommunication skills both in writing and verbal. Must be able to independentlyengage with customers.

  • Ability to work withmulti-national teams in different time zones.

  • Must be highlymotivated, self-starter with innovation, integrity and attention to details.
