ON Semiconductor Cyber Security Operations Analyst (Contractor) in Phoenix, Arizona

The Cyber Security Operations Analyst ensures protection of ON Semiconductor information assets in accordance with policies, procedures, technology and standards. This individual collaborates with any and all organizations necessary to defend against information security incidents, as well as identifying, analyzing, communicating, and containing these incidents when they do occur. This individual reports to the Director of Cyber Security Operations.

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Perform analysisof infrastructure and application security events including intrusion detectionanalysis

  • Correlation ofnetwork and user activity to identify indicators of compromise and trends of unauthorizeduse

  • Complete documentationof technical incident reports, e.g., “spills”

  • Research andreport of emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification ofnetwork incidents

  • Assist in forensicsanalysis and investigations as directed by the CISO, CIO and Chief PrivacyOfficer

  • Support deliveryof metrics, recommendations and key performance indicators to executives

  • Perform incident response, including mitigatingactions to contain activity

Candidates will be evaluated primarily upon their ability to demonstrate the competencies required to be successful in the role, as described above. For reference, the typical work experience and educational background of candidates in this role are:

  • BS or MS inComputer Science, Information Security, or a related field or 10 years of workexperience in lieu of a university degree

  • CertifiedInformation Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified InformationSecurity Manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), orsimilar technical certifications

  • 5 years of experience in information security,especially in a leadership role with a Computer Incident Response Team(CIRT) or a Security Operations Center (SOC)

  • 3 years of experience in another IT function, e.g.,software development or infrastructure administration

1 years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27000, COBIT, NIST 800, etc.)
