ON Semiconductor Process Technician in Nampa, Idaho

Job Summary:

A Manufacturing Process Technician with ON Semiconductor in Nampa works on a shift team to support manufacture of Image Sensors. The primary responsibility of the Fab Process Technician is to sustain color filter array (CFA) processes, including photolithography, metrology, and real-time defect analysis (RDA).


  • Interacting with the production team to react tomanufacturing priorities throughout the shift

  • Develop a basic understanding of how the CFAprocess is performed utilizing the work instructions, procedures, and methodsin practice

  • Acquire basic knowledge of area processes andwork with engineering to ensure the quality of the material and properdocumentation

  • Learn statistical process control (SPC) and dataanalysis to be able to monitor area process control charts and react to out ofcontrol/specification (OOC/OOS) conditions

  • Develop skills to create metrology equipmentrecipes that are used to measure in-line parameters required for processcontrol of CFA processing.

  • Acquire the ability to use software programs toevaluate in-line measurements and process results that are used to controlprocess parameters that may result in intervention during the CFA manufacturingprocess

  • Work with the process and equipment owners onaction plans for area specific issues, including data collection and toolmaintenance (PM)/repair.

  • Ensure a thorough written and verbal pass downof shift activities, tool issues, process issues, and project status

  • Keep lead engineer/production supervisor advisedof area issues and progress

  • Maintain a safe work environment and followsafety policies and guidelines


  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalentexperience

  • Ability to perform duties in a clean roomenvironment

  • Willingness towork a 12-hour shift, that can include weekends, nights, and holidays

(rotate between night-shift and day-shift every 4 months)

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

  • Ability to work well both independently and on ateam

  • Ability to follow written or verbal workinstructions

  • Solid data summary and analytical skills

  • Strong approach for troubleshooting

  • Strong communication, documentation, andorganizational skills

  • Innovative and self-motivated attitude

  • Understanding of CFA processing and SPC is aplus
