ON Semiconductor Process Engineer II in Nampa, Idaho


  • Develop an in-depth understanding of how thecolor filter array (CFA) process is performed to be able to diagnose issuesthat occur during this process

  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) and dataanalysis skills to investigate process control charts, react to out ofcontrol/specification (OOC/OOS) conditions, and implement corrective actions

  • Develop engineering skills to evaluate processresults using statistical methods, implement solutions, and makerecommendations for process improvements

  • Identify key manufacturing issues and leadcross-functional teams to develop solutions

  • Develop advanced skills on the metrologyequipment to be able to perform in-depth product analysis and data collection

  • Prepare thorough written and verbal pass-downsof shift activities, tool issues, process issues, and project status

  • Work closely with the lead engineer andproduction supervisor, keeping them advised of area issues and progress

  • Serve as the lead engineer in his/her absence


  • Bachelors of Science Degree in an engineeringdiscipline

  • Understanding of statistical process control

  • Excellent data summary and analytical skills

  • Strong approach for troubleshooting

  • Strong communication, documentation, andorganizational skills

  • Innovative and self-motivated attitude

  • Works well both independently and with teams

  • Ability to follow written or verbal workinstructions

  • Ability to perform duties in a clean roomenvironment

  • Willingness to work any shift includingweekends, nights, and holidays

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
