onsemi Junior Field Applications Engineer - Automotive (Munich, Germany) in Munich, Germany
The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) supports our customer’s engineering teams with the evaluation and design-in of analog, mixed signal and power semiconductors for automotive applications. In this role, the candidate will work in a team of FAEs and sales engineers to support key automotive customers based in Europe. These activities include close co-operation with applications, design and marketing groups in Europe, North America and Asia. Your focus will be on power electronics for automotive vehicle electrification applications.
Responsibilities:
Present onsemi solutions to customers.
Recommend the best topologies and products, assisting with evaluation and design-in.
Develop strong technical relationships with the customer’s R&D staff.
Develop an understanding of the customer’s systems and requirements to become an application/subject matter expert.
Assist in the definition and development of new products.
Help trouble-shoot issues in customer applications.
Following appointment, to prepare for the position, an intensive training period (9 to 12 months) will include travel to multiple onsemi sites, mentorship by experienced team members and working with our Applications engineering teams, with sales and business unit organizations, to develop key skills before transitioning to the field based role.
