PM JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager (PM) for Timing Products Business Unit of ON Semiconductor will be located in Bangalore, India and will co-ordinate, plan, lead, manage and drive-for-results on several concurrent New Product Development (NPD) projects. The Integrated Circuit Chip products developed by these projects will include Re-drivers, Re-timers, LVDS Clock buffers for Computing, Communications, Automotive and other applications.
Work well in a matrix worldwide cross-functional,cross-organizational and cross-cultural teams
Develop project plans with clear scope, schedule, cost and quality goals,perform product and project cost and ROI analysis, identify and mitigatemajor risks, barriers and issues in the project.
Work with project teams to define the project success criteria and obtainbuy-off from all project stakeholders.
During project execution, measure, track and report/presentprogress-to-plan status to stakeholders periodically.
Controls project. If deviation occurs from approved project plan, PM willidentify ways and means to bring the project back on track. If recovery isnot possible after doing due diligence, the PM will follow the appropriateescalation paths.
Responsible for acquiring/maintaining documentary compliance for all projectphases per Quality & NPD Standards.
Responsible for preparing and maintaining all project related KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics and periodically reporting them tothe Business Operations and Program Manager for the Business Unit.
Must have direct hands-on Project Management experience in thecomplete development of Integrated Circuit (IC) chip products in thesemiconductor industry. Must have gonethrough atleast one complete IC product development project from start tofinish resulting in one or more products released to market.
Must have experience leading projects starting fromproduct idea through feasibility, business case analysis, project planning thatincludes scope/risk/resource/schedule/budget cost/procurement management,project execution, control, escalation, Release to production and market.
Must have experience inmeeting management across time zones, with proven ability to precisely gather actionitems and follow up with team members to closure.
Must have expertise and hands-onexperience in one or more functional areas like Design Engineering,Applications Engineering, Product Engineering and/or Test Engineering.
Must be able towork well with manufacturing facilities like foundries/fabs, Assembly sites,Test sites, reliability test hardware vendorsetc
Must be able to organize the projectworkflow and documentations with strong attention to details
Must have strong time management andwritten/verbal communication skills
Must have hightolerance and ability to work with limited or ambiguous information
Education - minimum Bachelorsin Electronics Engineering (ECE) or very close equivalent that can clearlydemonstrate knowledge of semiconductor devices/integrated circuittechnology
PMP certification is a plus, but not required
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools: MS Project, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint,and MS Word
Familiarity or working knowledge of Agile Product Portfolio Management tooland Sharepoint collaboration platform
