ON Semiconductor Expediter in Gresham, Oregon
The role of the Expeditor is primarily to transport wafers from production area to production area, notify manufacturing specialists of waiting product and maintain product security at all times.
Responsible for operating a four wheel cart from one manufacturing staging area and conveying it to the opposite production area.
Computer/software related tasks such as selecting a group from the paging system and sending a notification that the product is waiting.
Perform an initial wipe down of the top of the wafer pods prior to their re-entry into the production environment.
Maintain cleanroom protocol by wearing of gloves, building only shoes and hair net.
Position is repetitive and requires walking.
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work a 12 hour compressed shift schedule
Ability to constantly walk short distances (during a shift it is not uncommon to walk up to 10 – 20 miles)
Ability to arrive on shift at the scheduled time and punctuality from breaks and lunches
Ability to maintain control of a moving cart while keeping the product safe as it is transported from each production location
A stable work history is a plus
