onsemi Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect in Bangalore, India

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect is a multi-talented information technology professional and an accomplished Azure and AWS hybrid cloud expert contributing to a dynamic, infrastructure design team making a difference. The position’s primary core objectives include designing and implementing Azure and AWS hybrid cloud solutions to ensure infrastructure high availability for an energy efficient, global semiconductor company.

The role requires versatility along with initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive infrastructure design/engineering expertise, know how to think “outside-the-box”, and will share in responsibilities designing, implementing, enhancing, and supporting the provisioning, configuration, and management of hybrid cloud infrastructure. The Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect will work closely with other architects, infrastructure team members, application developers, security team, and business stakeholders. Adhering to industry best practices to support onsemi’s business objectives and user community experience is of utmost importance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs Azure and AWS hybrid cloud solutions for internal customers

  • Implements Azure and AWS hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions (data center, compute, networking, storage, systems hardware, distributed systems management, disaster recovery, security)

  • Designs and develops hybrid cloud automation solutions

  • Improves hybrid cloud operational procedures and processes

  • Enhances virtual workload monitoring, performance tuning, and resource optimization

  • Develops policy driven data protection best practices to ensure hybrid cloud solutions are protected from data loss

  • Designs and implements business continuity solutions for Azure and AWS hybrid clouds

  • Administrative duties including infrastructure provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security hardening

  • Creates and enhances architectural diagrams and documentation

  • Ensures compliance with onsemi and IT general controls, policies, and information governance

  • Mentors Azure and AWS hybrid operations teams

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 14 years’ progressive information technology experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Azure Cloud

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in AWS

  • An Azure Cloud expert

  • Highly proficient with AWS

  • Extensive infrastructure design experience with Azure Cloud and AWS

  • Complete understanding of hybrid cloud security framework and best practices

  • Extensive experience with Azure Arc, Azure Backup, Azure AKS, Azure databases, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Archive Storage, or other tools/services

  • Proven experience developing infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions

  • Minimum of 2 years’ cloud automation experience with Terraform and/or Ansible

  • Enterprise experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory

  • Advanced proficiency (7+ years) with Linux and/or Windows administration in an enterprise environment

  • Effective communicator of complex virtualization/hybrid cloud concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Extremely self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail and willingness to assume responsibility

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

PREFERENCES:

  • OCI cloud experience

  • Dell Azure Stack HCI deployment and management experience

  • Cloud hosted disaster recovery design and implementation experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ vSphere & vCenter enterprise administration experience with at least 100 hosts and 2,000 virtual machines

  • Effectively interact with business and technical audiences, tailoring the communication to broad audiences to achieve desired results

  • Exceptional use of visual communication (PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) tools

  • Ability to effectively socialize and acquire approval for ideas, concepts, designs, and solutions
